Preview policy center

Clear terms should arrive before the purifier.

This page provides complete, editable draft policies for the Shuddho preview. They are operating assumptions, not representations of current commercial practice or legal advice.

Confirmation required before launch

A real operator should review these drafts against actual products, logistics, service capacity, payment arrangements, Bangladesh consumer law, and professional legal advice. Where checkout or product-page wording differs, the verified terms presented and accepted at purchase should control.

Draft version: 3 September 2026 Applies to: this static preview only

01

Assumed fulfilment model

Delivery and access

Editable assumptions for delivery within Dhaka and by courier elsewhere in Bangladesh.

1. Order confirmation

An order should be treated as received only after the customer sees an order reference. It should be treated as accepted only after Shuddho confirms product availability, delivery area, contact details, price, payment method, and any installation needs by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or email. A preview-local checkout confirmation does not create a real sale.

2. Assumed delivery areas and timing

  • Selected Dhaka addresses: an assumed target of 2–4 working days after confirmation for in-stock products.
  • Other serviceable Bangladesh addresses: an assumed target of 3–7 working days after confirmation by third-party courier.
  • Remote or restricted locations: additional time, pickup from a courier point, or cancellation may be necessary if door delivery is unavailable.

Working days are assumed to be Saturday through Thursday, excluding public holidays and closure periods. Weather, hartal, road disruption, ferry schedules, courier capacity, stock movement, and address access can affect timing. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed.

3. Charges

Delivery, installation, travel, lifting, special fittings, or remote-area charges should be shown at checkout or confirmed before order acceptance. If a cost cannot be calculated in advance, the customer should receive an estimate and approve it before fulfilment. Cash-on-delivery availability and limits may vary by product and postcode.

4. Access and installation readiness

The customer should provide a complete address, reachable Bangladesh mobile number, safe building access, and an authorized adult to receive the order. For installation, the site may need a suitable inlet, drainage route, electrical socket, stable mounting area, and building permission. Shuddho should disclose any extra work before proceeding. The customer may decline additional work, but the product may remain uninstalled.

5. Inspection at delivery

Where the courier permits, the recipient should inspect the outer package for visible crushing, puncture, water exposure, or missing parcels before acceptance. Opening and functional testing may not be available with every courier. Visible package damage should be noted with the courier and photographed before unpacking.

6. Failed delivery and change of address

If the recipient is unavailable or the address or mobile number is incorrect, a re-delivery charge may apply. Address changes are subject to confirmation and may not be possible after dispatch. If an order returns to origin, actual courier costs may be deducted from any approved refund unless the failure resulted from Shuddho’s error.

Operator fields to verify: active postcodes, working days, cut-off time, delivery targets, courier inspection rules, charges, COD limits, installation inclusions, and disruption language.
02

Assumed limited cover

Product and service warranty

A draft warranty designed to distinguish faults from consumable upkeep.

1. Assumed duration

Unless a verified product listing states otherwise, this draft assumes a 12-month limited product warranty from confirmed delivery for the original purchaser and a 30-day workmanship warranty for installation performed directly by an authorized Shuddho service provider. These periods are placeholders to be finalized.

2. What the product warranty is intended to cover

During the applicable period, the warranty would cover diagnosis and, at Shuddho’s option, repair or replacement of a purifier component that fails because of a verified manufacturing or material defect under normal household or stated commercial use. Replacement parts may be new or functionally equivalent. A replacement does not restart the full warranty unless required by applicable law.

3. Consumables and conditions not covered

  • Filters, membranes, UV lamps, mineral cartridges, seals, and other consumables depleted through normal use, unless defective at delivery.
  • Changes in taste, flow, TDS reduction, or filter life caused by source-water variation, unusual contaminant load, low pressure, scaling, blocked pre-filters, or overdue maintenance.
  • Cosmetic wear that does not affect function, including minor scratches after accepted delivery.
  • Damage caused by accident, flooding, pests, voltage fluctuation, fire, freezing, misuse, unsuitable chemicals, unapproved modification, or moving the installed unit.
  • Faults related to unauthorized installation, repair, parts, or consumables.
  • Plumbing, pumps, tanks, wiring, cabinetry, walls, or third-party property not supplied as part of the confirmed order.
  • Use outside the product’s stated source-water, pressure, temperature, power, duty-cycle, or capacity limits.

4. Installation workmanship

The assumed 30-day workmanship cover would apply to a leak, loose connection, or fitting issue directly caused by the documented installation work. It would not cover an existing or failing pipe, tap, valve, pump, drain, wall, cabinet, electrical point, or later third-party alteration.

5. How to make a claim

  1. Contact Shuddho with the order reference, customer mobile, model, serial number if available, installation date, and a clear description of the problem.
  2. Share photos or a short video if safely possible. Do not open energized equipment or dismantle the purifier.
  3. Follow reasonable remote checks, such as confirming power, valves, visible leakage, indicators, and recent filter service.
  4. Allow inspection at an agreed serviceable address. A disclosed inspection or travel charge may apply if the issue is outside warranty.

If a valid fault cannot be resolved on site, Shuddho should explain the proposed repair, collection, replacement, or other remedy and an estimated timeline. Data, records, replaced parts, and customer approvals should be retained as required by actual operations and law.

6. Statutory rights

This limited warranty should supplement, not remove, rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Bangladesh law. No sentence on this page should be interpreted to waive a mandatory consumer remedy.

Operator fields to verify: warranty periods by model, authorized service definition, serial-number process, claim channels, geographic cover, visit charges, parts availability, remedy timing, and legally required rights.
03

Assumed return route

Returns, damage, and refunds

Draft conditions for a considered product that may become non-returnable after installation.

1. Unopened change-of-mind returns

This draft assumes that an eligible, unopened purifier may be requested for return within 7 calendar days after delivery. The product must be unused, uninstalled, complete, and in resalable original packaging with accessories, manuals, labels, gifts, and proof of purchase. The customer should not write on or attach courier labels directly to retail packaging.

Approval is required before sending a return. If the correct product arrived in acceptable condition, the customer may be responsible for safe return transport and the original delivery or payment-processing costs to the extent permitted by law.

2. Products that generally cannot be returned for change of mind

  • A purifier that has been installed, connected to water, filled, flushed, or used.
  • An opened filter, membrane, UV lamp, cartridge, hygiene-sealed accessory, or chemical treatment item.
  • A customized, special-order, clearance, or final-sale item identified before purchase.
  • An item damaged after delivery through unsuitable storage, handling, transport, installation, or modification.

These exclusions do not remove a remedy for a verified defect, wrong item, incomplete order, or other right that must be provided by law.

3. Damaged, wrong, or incomplete delivery

The customer should report visible transit damage, a wrong model, or missing package contents within 48 hours of delivery, with the order reference and clear photographs of the outer package, shipping label, internal packaging, product, and affected area. Packaging should be retained until the case is resolved. A short reporting target helps investigation but should not override mandatory legal rights.

4. Faults after installation

An installed product is handled through inspection and the warranty or statutory remedy process, not a standard change-of-mind return. If a verified fault cannot be repaired within a reasonable route, Shuddho should assess replacement, refund, or another legally appropriate remedy. Source-water mismatch, site conditions, and installation responsibility must be investigated fairly rather than assumed.

5. Return process

  1. Contact the verified support channel before shipping or visiting with a product.
  2. Provide order details, reason, condition, and supporting images.
  3. Wait for eligibility confirmation and packing or collection instructions.
  4. Package the approved item securely. Back up or remove any detachable customer data if a future connected model stores it.
  5. Allow inspection after receipt. Shuddho should document any deduction and its reason.

6. Refund method and timing

An approved refund should normally return to the original payment route where practical. For cash or manual mobile payment, verified account details may be required through a secure operational channel. This draft assumes processing within 7–10 working days after approval, excluding bank or mobile-financial-service settlement time. Shuddho should never ask for a PIN, password, one-time code, or full card credentials.

Operator fields to verify: return window, reporting window, eligible categories, return address, collection fees, inspection standard, restocking deductions, refund method, processing target, and legal exceptions.

Preview data transparency

Privacy and localStorage

What this static preview stores, what a live business might collect, and what must change before launch.

1. This preview runs locally

The current website is a static demonstration. Its cart, checkout, and recommendation experiences may use the browser’s localStorage so information persists between pages or reloads on the same browser profile. Submitting the recommendation form does not send information to Shuddho, a server, an email inbox, or a messaging service.

2. Information the preview may store in your browser

  • Cart product identifiers, options, quantities, prices, and calculated totals.
  • Preview checkout details such as name, mobile, email, address, delivery choice, payment selection, and locally generated order reference.
  • The latest recommendation inquiry, including contact details, division, locality, source water, people served, budget, concerns, message, and reply preference.

Anyone with access to the same browser profile or device may be able to inspect this information. Do not enter sensitive personal, financial, identity, medical, or confidential water-test information into a public or shared device. The site should not request a mobile-financial-service PIN, password, card PIN, CVV, or one-time code.

3. How to remove preview data

Use available “clear”, “start over”, or cart-removal controls. You can also clear site data in your browser settings. Private-browsing data is typically removed when the private session closes, subject to browser behavior. Clearing localStorage may remove the cart, latest inquiry, checkout draft, and order confirmation from this device, and the preview cannot restore them.

4. Intended live collection and use

If converted to a live service, Shuddho may need to collect contact, delivery, order, payment-reference, product, installation, service-history, communication-preference, support, and water-source information to:

  • answer inquiries and recommend suitable product categories;
  • confirm, deliver, install, service, and account for orders;
  • manage returns, warranties, safety notices, and customer support;
  • prevent fraud, secure systems, keep required business records, and meet legal duties;
  • send marketing only where there is an appropriate permission and a usable opt-out.

5. Sharing in a live operation

Information should be shared only as needed with verified couriers, installers, service providers, payment providers, hosting or software suppliers, professional advisers, and public authorities where lawfully required. A live policy must name or categorize real processors, explain cross-border handling if any, document safeguards, and prohibit partners from using customer data for unrelated purposes.

6. Retention, security, and choices

A live operator should define retention periods by record type, use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, limit staff access, and securely delete or anonymize information when no longer required. Customers should have a verified route to ask for access, correction, deletion where applicable, marketing opt-out, or a copy of relevant information. Some records may need to be retained for warranty, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.

7. Cookies, analytics, and third-party links

This draft does not claim that analytics or advertising cookies are active. Before adding them, the live site should disclose each category, purpose, duration, provider, and available choice. Opening a telephone, email, WhatsApp, payment, map, courier, or other external link may let that provider process information under its own policy.

8. Privacy contact

The preview email privacy@shuddho.example is an example only and is not represented as a monitored inbox. A verified privacy contact, legal entity name, address, response process, and jurisdiction-specific disclosures must replace it before real information is collected.

Operator fields to verify: legal entity and contact, data fields, purposes and lawful grounds, processors, cookies, hosting locations, retention schedule, security measures, rights process, breach response, children’s data approach, and applicable Bangladesh requirements.

Draft site and sale rules

Terms of use and purchase

Assumptions governing product information, suitability, ordering, service, and responsibility.

1. Preview status

Shuddho is presented as an original website and operating concept. The preview does not prove an incorporated business, established trading history, factory, showroom, employee identity, inventory, regulatory approval, laboratory result, service network, certification, partnership, or current ability to accept an order. No preview-local action creates a binding purchase or service booking.

2. Product information and availability

Product names, images, descriptions, stages, capacities, source-water fit, prices, discounts, stock labels, filter intervals, operating costs, and specifications are editable demonstration content. A live operator must verify them against the exact supplied model. Images may show styling or context and should not be relied on for exact color, scale, included fittings, or installation layout.

Availability is subject to confirmation. Shuddho may correct an obvious description or pricing error, decline an order, limit quantity, or offer an alternative before acceptance. If payment has already been received for an order that cannot be accepted, it should be returned through an appropriate verified route.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices should be displayed in Bangladeshi taka and should state whether VAT, delivery, installation, fittings, travel, or recurring filter costs are included. Cash on delivery and manual bKash or Nagad instructions are assumed preview options, not verified merchant arrangements. Customers should use only payment details confirmed through an official published channel and should never disclose a PIN, password, CVV, or one-time code.

4. Product suitability and water conditions

Guidance is educational and does not guarantee that a model will make every source safe or suitable for every user. Treatment performance depends on verified influent conditions, contaminants, pressure, temperature, power, flow demand, correct installation, filter condition, and maintenance. TDS is one measurement and does not establish microbiological or chemical safety by itself.

Customers should disclose known source conditions and follow testing or public-health advice where contamination is suspected. Shuddho should not make medical claims or replace advice from qualified laboratories, engineers, clinicians, or authorities.

5. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact, address, access, source-water, and intended-use information.
  • Confirm that the property owner or building permits installation and drilling where needed.
  • Maintain safe plumbing, drainage, electricity, pressure, ventilation, and installation space.
  • Use the product only as instructed and arrange filters and service at appropriate intervals.
  • Stop use, isolate water or power if safe, and seek support if there is a leak, damage, unusual heat, electrical concern, or suspected contamination.

6. Service access and third parties

Appointments depend on location, staff, parts, weather, traffic, security, and safe access. Personnel should be allowed to stop work where conditions are unsafe or the scope differs materially from what was described. Any revised charge should be explained before work continues. Shuddho is responsible for its own confirmed service commitments, but not for independent work the customer arranges with an unrelated third party.

7. Acceptable site use

Users must not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape in a manner that disrupts service, impersonate another person, submit unlawful content, or misuse contact details. Site text, visual design, and original brand assets may not be republished commercially without permission, except where law permits.

8. Liability and mandatory rights

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, a finalized agreement may reasonably limit liability for indirect or unforeseeable loss and for loss caused by incorrect customer information, unsuitable site conditions, misuse, unapproved alteration, overdue maintenance, third-party work, or events outside reasonable control. It should not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including any mandatory consumer right or liability arising from fraud or willful misconduct.

Because this preview has no live operator, no monetary liability or service undertaking is created by browsing or using its local demonstration features.

9. Changes, complaints, and governing terms

Policies may be updated prospectively, with the version and effective date shown. Terms accepted for a confirmed order should not be changed retroactively except by agreement or where law requires. A live site must provide a verified complaint route, escalation process, legal entity details, governing law, and dispute forum appropriate to its Bangladesh operations.

Operator fields to verify: legal entity, tax and price treatment, product specifications, order acceptance, official payment channels, intellectual-property ownership, complaint handling, liability wording, force majeure, governing law, dispute forum, and version-control process.
